![]() If the recipient has NOT opened any of their email clients since the time you sent the message until the time that you recalled it, there is a small chance that the email will not be seen by them. You will receive and email letting you know if the email was recalled successfully or failed. Answer (1 of 7): There is very little point to recalling an email, since it is so rarely effective. Since it was sent via web portal, it can still be seen in Outlook Desktop App, however the Recall icon was greyed out. A case we come into is that we sent out an email wrongly via our group-email-account, it was not supposed to send to everyone. To attempt to Recall an email in Outlook go to your sent items and double click the email to open it in a new window. Also always review your emails prior to hitting send.
